NIGHTLFT, 1st Annual Strength Charity Exhibition

Date: June 27th, 2015 
 
Time: 8 pm to 2:30 am
 
Purpose: To raise awareness and funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), to unite the varying strength communities among that goal in a social event with food, drinks and foster unity, and to showcase the world-class strength found within the Powerlifting, Weightlifting, and Strongman sports. 
Goal: Our NIGHTLFT Team has set a goal of lifting a cumulative total of 15,000 KG (33,060 LB) with our donation goal for the event set to $1 per 1 KG lifted. Our team of lifters will be performing Masters or Elite level lifts in heavy single lifts, double lifts, or AMRAP style settings with at least double-bodyweight or higher. 
The costs involved in helping children with muscular diseases through the MDA is: 
 
$30 Flu shot 
 
$100 One support group session 
 
$150 One occupational, physical, respiratory or speech therapy consultation 
 
$300 Professional fees related to initial diagnostic work-up at an MDA clinic 
 
$500 Annual repairs of durable medical equipment 
 
$800 Week at MDA summer camp for one child
By raising 15,000 KG, we would be able to pay for:
25 Vaccinations
 
10 Support Groups
5 Therapy Consultations
 
4 Profession Clinic Fees
 
4 Medical Equipment Repair Fees
 
10 Summer Camp Trips
 
Fundraising Strategy: We'll be taking proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorship packages, online donations, and company donations to hit our target goal among other collection ideas the night of the event. The donations are considered tax-deductible and those more information will be released soon.

NIGHTLFT Team: We've assembled world-class Elite and International-elite level lifters to help us raise kilos for charity. Some of them include: 

Chad Wesley Smith: Juggernaut Training Systems Founder, Powerlifter, and Pro-Strongman
Brandon Lilly: Author of The Cube Method, Juggernaut and Animal Sponsored Athlete, Professional Powerlifter
Susan Salazar: IFBB Pro and All-time Powerlifting World Record Holder
 As well as: Damien Pezzuti, Adam Rodriguez, Chris Robinson, Mason Cervantes, Brandon Escobedo, Cynthia Leu, Shorty Sadang, Luis Ortuno. 
These are just the powerlifting team, we're still finalizing our strongman, and weightlifting competitors.
In addition to the events, they're will be food and drinks provided by local breweries and food companies like Brew Hawgs. 
With major athletes and strength brands supporting the event along with fitness celebrities, and the support of the strength community, we're expecting this to be the breakout event of the year.
